Shipley is a leader in producing a high quality "Photo Resist" for the electronics industry. To meet its customer's needs, Shipley needed a Class One facility to develop and test their product, a facility to match the environment where the product will eventually be used.
This project entailed designing and construction one of the most sophisticated Class One facilities on the eastern seaboard. We control the large ball room type facility at 68 degrees, plus or minus ½ degree and 45 percent, plus or minus 1 percent, limits which very few Clean Rooms can hold. They have filtered its Class One air flow down to .12 microns conditioned to meet the Class One specifications. In addition, the room meets very stringent vibration specification.
Quality Air Control provided and installed the mechanical systems associated with the new facility. QAC partnered the mechanical design with Lockwood Greene from North Carolina and conducted some installation with its own forces and partners. This 1500 sf. Clean Room Project was performed using an aggressive construction schedule that all the team members -- giving Shipley a quality facility -- met.
